Jan-Saul (formerly Azalu) is a Prague-based rapper and producer. He performs over self-produced instrumentals, shaping a distinct sound influenced by the alternative hip-hop scene of the United States. His lyrics, written in English, often draw an honest portrait of personal experiences.
In 2024, his song “1000 STANDS” was featured on the curated playlist of Radio Wave. The song would later enter the radio’s competition Startér – a platform dedicated to giving lesser-known artists an opportunity to be discovered. There, Jan-Saul received high praise from the hosts (Filip Černý, Martin Šolc) and Lukáš Vydra, front man of the band Dukla – particularly for the song’s production and structure, as well as his intense vocal delivery.
In March 2025, he performed on radio202, a livestream run by students of the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague (UMPRUM).

Jan-Saul (dříve Azalu) je rapper a producent z Prahy. Rapuje přes své vlastní instrumentály a vytváří tak unikátní zvuk ovlivněný alternativní hip-hopovou scénou USA. Jeho texty psané v angličtině vykreslují upřímné obrazy osobních zážitků.
V roce 2024 byla jeho skladba 1000 STANDS zařazena do playlistu Rádia Wave. Skladba byla poté uvedena v soutěžním pořadu Startér, který slouží jako platforma pro doposud neobjevené umělce. Ze strany moderátorů (Filip Černý, Martin Šolc) a Lukáše Vydry, frontmana kapely Dukla, sklízel Jan-Saul pozitivní hodnocení, zejména za produkci a strukturu skladby, ale také za svůj intenzivní vokální projev.
V březnu 2025 vystupoval na livestreamu radio202 pořádaném studenty Vysoké školy uměleckoprůmyslové v Praze (UMPRUM).
